COUN 525 - Substance Abuse and Co-Occurring Disorders
3 credits Acquaints students with the concepts of chemical dependence and co-occurring disorders (dual diagnoses). Explores the developmental models of addiction and the theories and etiology of addictions, as well as strategies for prevention and intervention. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Must be eligible to take Graduate level coursework. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the MHC program.
