CS 458 - Security III 4 credits Studies the threats to computer systems connected to the Internet. Examines how crackers find a system and its vulnerabilities then use those vulnerabilities to compromise the system, including the use of viruses. Looks at various tools used to attack and defend systems, as well as resources to detect and analyze intrusions. Address both wired and wireless systems security. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Prerequisite(s): CS 457 .
