HE 553 - Drugs in Society 3 credits Examines the use and abuse of drugs, including alcohol, tobacco, amphetamines, barbiturates, narcotics, and tranquilizers. Emphasizes the pharmacology of drugs and the prevention of abuse. Focuses on how individual use affects society and how societal mores affect individual use. HE 250 recommended. Grading option is designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Must be eligible to take Graduate level coursework.
