PH 432 - Electricity and Magnetism

Examines electric and magnetic fields and their interactions with matter. Introduces Ampere’s law, magnetic induction, Faraday’s law, the vector potential, magnetic energy, Maxwell’s equations, and electromagnetic waves. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Restricted to Juniors and above. Prerequisite(s): PH 431.
