PH 532 - Electricity and Magnetism
4 credits
Examines electric and magnetic fields and their interactions with matter. Introduces Ampere’s law, magnetic induction, Faraday’s law, the vector potential, magnetic energy, Maxwell’s equations, and electromagnetic waves. Grading option is designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Must be eligible to take Graduate level coursework. Prerequisite(s): PH 431 .
