SPAN 520 - Topics in Spanish or Latin American Film 3 credits Offers an in-depth study of selected topics in Hispanic cinema, focusing on insights into cultures, history, or film production and practices in Hispanic countries. Emphasizes film theory, form in film, and film industries. Topics include masterpieces of film, directors, women in cinema, cultural identity, post-structuralism, post-colonialism, and other recent cultural topics. Repeat credit is allowed for different topics. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Must be eligible to take Graduate level coursework.
