Provides students with an introduction to the field of music education. Topics include the historical and philosophical foundations of music education, curriculum, the music education community, professional associations, musical development theories, competencies of successful music teachers, and 21st century developments in the field. Graded (A-F) only. Prerequisite(s): Class standing of junior or above.
