The objectives of the Creative Writing program are to educate students to develop their own styles, to clearly communicate original ideas and to present their understanding of themselves and the larger world through cogent, expressive writing in a variety of forms. Creative Writing students study established traditions as well as emerging content and methods.  Students are encouraged to be curious, adaptive and flexible to deveop lifelong habits to generate good work and remain current in a changing market. Students are encouraged to develop attainable career goals and supportive professional networks.
