 Exceptions to the following requirements may be presented to the program chair for consideration.

Prerequisites

• Two lower division literature courses from the following:

• ENG 239 - Native American Myth and Culture 4 credits

• 8 credits must be 400-level literature: ENG 417, 418, 436, 447, 448, 454, 481, 482, 488, 489.
• 8 credits must be from the following writing emphasis courses: ENG 312, 315, 327, 329, 355, 380, 383, 395, 456, 472, 480.
• 4 credits may be 300- or 400-level non-studio CW course.
• A combined maximum of 8 credit hours of ENG 405, 407 and 409 may be applied to the major as upper-division electives.
