Explores the development of Western drama and theatre from the eighteenth century to the present. Involves intensive study of representative plays. Examines production techniques, theatre architecture, actors and acting styles, and significant political and cultural developments of the times. Restricted to Theatre Arts Majors. Prerequisite(s): TA 230 and TA 231; sophomore standing or above required.
