ART 291 - Introduction to Sculpture 4 credits Introduces basic sculptural processes such as casting, carving, and assemblage. Emphasizes developing eye/hand coordination, an understanding of design and craftsmanship, and how form and material come together to create meaning. Studio work is supported by readings, critiques, and presentations on traditional and contemporary sculpture. Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
