GEOG 551 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems 5 credits Explores uses of computer-based geographic information systems (GIS) for analyzing environmental features and feature-related data. Desktop GIS is employed for data storage, geographic data analysis, and map design. Covers applications in forestry, planning, resource management, and demography.
