ENG 456 - The History of Publishing: From Alphabet to E-Book 4 credits Explores the history of the book in the West from the invention of writing to electronic publication. Topics include authorship, publication, manufacture, distribution, reception, competition, and the survival of books. Introduces students to various writing professions through visits from professional writers. Approved for University Studies Integration (Strand H). Recommended: ENG 300 or ENG 301 .
