ART 398 - Junior Studio Practice

Teaches students how to develop an individual daily studio practice through faculty mentorship and small-group discussion and critique with the class cohort. Students pull together skills, research, and experience into the studio-intensive creative practice at the center of their SOU Art experience. Projects include creating and preparing work for the spring creative arts exhibition, Junior Review, developing an online presence and portfolio, defining professional goals, developing professional contacts, applying for internships and off-campus work experiences, and participating in visiting artist programs and exhibitions through the Schneider Museum of Art. Repeatable for 6 credits.
