Hospitality and Tourism Management Minor

This minor is intended for students who have a strong interest in the hospitality or tourism industry but are majoring in other disciplines. Students enrolling in the minor are expected to be computer literate and to have completed an introductory statistics course. A minimum 2.5 GPA in all courses taken for the minor is required.

Note: Students may minor in Business Administration or minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management, but not both.

BA 208 - Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism 4 credits
BA 211 - Financial Accounting 4 credits and BA 213 - Managerial Accounting 4 credits
or
BA 313 - Accounting for Managers 4 credits
BA 310 - Lodging Operations 4 credits
BA 311 - Food and Beverage Management 4 credits
BA 411 - Sustainable Tourism 4 credits
Elective Course - 4 credits

Suggested courses: BA 446 - Retail Management , BA 410 - Event Management , BA 330 - Principles of Marketing , COMM 441 - International Communication . Other courses may be approved by advisor.
