ED 488 - Early Language and Literacy Development 3 credits Examines the process of language development and the emergence of literacy in young children. Studies the cognitive and social bases of language and literacy development. Considers ways of promoting language and literacy development, including the selection and use of activities and materials. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above.
