PS 340 - Law, Science, and the Environment 4 credits Examines the capacity of the legal system to satisfactorily resolve environmental and other disputes that require decision-makers to reach conclusions based on scientific evidence. Tracks a lawsuit or administrative proceeding involving environmental issues from beginning to end, exploring the difficulties scientists, lawyers, and juries face when trying to make sense of one another. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above PS 201 or PS 202 . Approved for General Education: University Studies - H Strand Graded (A-F) only
