SOAN 311 - Sustainable Communities

Explores the complexities of community and sustainability. Focuses on concepts, theories, and case studies of community, community change, sustainability, and development. Students will analyze cultural, political, environmental, and economic influences on communities and how these influences shape possibilities for sustainability in communities. Includes an overview of community-based action, advocacy, and social change. Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing.
