SPAN 203 - Conversational Spanish 3: Improving Communication Skills for Real Life 4 credits Builds on existing language skills to further develop students’ proficiency in communicative Spanish. Focuses on real-world applications of the language, with a particular emphasis on contexts related to professional settings, real-life scenarios, and current cultural topics. Course units are built around immersive scenarios, task- and project-based learning activities, and authentic texts, media, and other materials. Helps students build fluency, to cultivate communicative competence, and to engage confidently in the Spanish-speaking world. Taught in Spanish. Students who grew up exposed to Spanish should consult with the instructor for appropriate placement. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 202 with a C- or better. Approved for General Education: Communication & Expression Capacity, University Studies - E Strand Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
