GSWS 310 - Intersectionality


4 credits
Explore intersectional activism and frameworks by tracing the development of intersectionality as well as other similar concepts, primarily from Women of Color scholars and activists, and then learning about how intersectionality is used today. We investigate how intersectionality is used to understand the connections between a variety of social identities including as race, Indigeneity, ethnicity, gender, class, sexuality, disability, and more, as well as learn about the ways that intersectionality is helpful as a tool to both understand and work to change social issues.
