SC 330 - Changing the STEM Narrative: Empowering All Voices

Explores the experiences of historically underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and examines past and current trends. Provides tools to recognize and address barriers, build resilience, develop leadership skills, advance one’s career, and create a supportive environment for all. Topics may include identities, intersectionality, bias training, stress and stressor mitigation, sociocratic methods, voice positioning, bystander training, persuasive voice development, negotiation skills, habit stacking, and strategic task selection.
