The School of Arts & Communication (ACO) is an academic unit of the university that includes the Departments of Communication, Media, and Cinema, Creative Arts (Art/Art History, Creative Writing, Emerging Media & Digital Arts), Music, and Theatre.  The Oregon Center for the Arts (OCA) is an affiliate of the School and produces and presents the work of professional and student artists from the university and throughout the world through performances, exhibitions, festivals, concerts, special events and partnerships with arts organizations at the university and in the community.
