The Performance Concentration has limited annual capacity, and admission is by audition only. For more information about audition/interview guidelines and dates, please contact the Theatre office.

The Performance Concentration requires an additional 57-65 credits beyond the Theatre, BFA Core. Once accepted, students pursuing the Performance Concentration must successfully complete all of the following:

36 credits of the Acting Sequence

The Acting Sequence consists of Acting, Voice, Movement I-III (9 courses taken in one year as corequisites). Students must maintain a B in ALL Acting Sequence courses in order to progress in the curriculum.

Upper Division Performance Classes can consist of any combination of:

TA 370 - Topics in Performance 4 credits
TA 470 - Advanced Topics in Performance 4 credits
TA 421 - Auditioning I 4 credits
TA 422 - Auditioning II 4 credits
TA 424 - Film Acting 4 credits
TA 425 - Advanced Film Acting 4 credits
TA 335 - Devising I 4 credits
TA 435 - Devising II 4 credits

BFA in Performance Thesis

TA 403 - Thesis 1 to 9 credits
