SPAN 310 - Introduction to Society and Culture in the Spanish Speaking World 4 credits Promotes an understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures and societies, with emphasis on the development of oral and written expression. Cultural topics may include historical influences on contemporary culture; art and media; and societal, religious, and political institutions. Students practice the fundamentals of writing through description and narration. Taught in Spanish. Prerequisite(s): SOU Spanish Placement Level 5 or SPAN 203 with a C- or better. Approved for General Education: Communication & Expression Capacity, University Studies - I Strand Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
